Marty Averbuch
Founder

Marty Averbuch is a founder of the International Securities Exchange. Mr. Averbuch is currently President and CEO of Adirondack Trading Partners, LLC, a consortium formed to finance the International Securities Exchange and to act as a specialist/market-maker on the exchange. Mr. Averbuch has experience in international business development as well as 25+ years of entrepreneurial experience in both the financial services and manufacturing sectors.

Mr. Averbuch was with E*TRADE Group, Inc. from 1993 to 1998 and served in various capacities, including, Vice President On-Line Ventures, Vice President Special Projects, and President of E*TRADE Capital, Inc., and had responsibilities for both domestic markets and the international expansion of the E*TRADE brand.

Mr. Averbuch founded Southampton Coachworks a manufacturer of luxury limousines. Mr. Averbuch was a founding board member of the industry manufacturer’s organization and worked with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to establish and implement uniform safety testing and compliance for the limousine industry.

Mr. Averbuch founded ESD, Ltd. a manufacturer of heat recovery equipment with distribution in all 50 states as well a distribution and licensing in several countries overseas. Mr. Averbuch worked with several regulatory agencies, both in the US and abroad, to establish appropriate safety and efficiency standards for this design class of equipment.

Mr. Averbuch has served as a member of the Visiting Committee of the University of Chicago Law School, and has served on the Advisory Board of Roundtable Partners LLC and on the Board of Directors for Knight/Trimark Group, Inc., as well as on the boards of several startup companies. Mr. Averbuch was a professor at Hofstra University in the Department of Finance.

Mr. Averbuch received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Chicago in 1977.
