Job Description

Senior Network Associate The International Securities Exchange (ISE) is currently recruiting a dynamic individual to join our staff as a Senior Network Associate. The qualified individual will be responsible for day-to-day operations of all network infrastructures at ISE. They will also be responsible for ensuring all members' reliable connectivity to the ISE marketplace, checking status of member connectivity, coordinating issues with firms and supporting internal projects.


Responsibilities to Include:



  • Critical Responsibilities

  • Certification of the production network core and member connectivity on a daily basis

  • Monitor all production network devices and circuits

  • Implement failover procedures to ensure member market stability in the event of an outage

  • Support all Network Environments at the ISE

  • Ensure that the network is protected from unauthorized users

  • Responsible for configurations of all internal firewalls, access-lists, and management of all open access points

  • Eliminate bottlenecks in the network

  • Make sure the network is available to users and responding to hardware and software malfunctions

  • Act as a point of escalation for Network Associates

  • Support and understand all aspects of the operation of Microsoft OS in the ISE Network ,,X High Responsibilities

  • Oversee all work that needs to be performed on the respected shifts

  • Potentially perform fundamental supervisory tasks when needed

  • Create and potentially approve appropriate Change Requests for service provider changes, as well as internal changes

  • Interface with members to verify new network connectivity/member change requests

  • Support Network Related ISE projects

  • Update all related ERS tickets as well as creating them for members and vendors ,,o Troubleshoot circuit related issues with the carriers

  • Keep track of all closed, pending and open circuit issues

  • Keep member firms updated daily of their circuit and EQ status

  • Close out trouble tickets with numerous carriers and vendors
Required Experience

Experience Required/Results Expected:



  • Technical Degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Currently valid Cisco Certification and Microsoft Certification is strongly preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of major IP Protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIPv2)

  • Experience with Cisco PIX

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and to multitask during negative network events

  • Experience in a large enterprise or service provider network is a plus
