UNUMPROVIDENT'S CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER APPOINTED HONORARY PROFESSOR AT SALFORD UNIVERSITY
UnumProvident's Chief Medical Officer, Dr Michael O'Donnell, has been appointed Visiting Honorary Professor in the School of Environment and Life Sciences and the Research Institute for the Built and Human Environment at Salford University. He will provide invaluable advice and guidance to the development of a portfolio of educational resources, programmes and research projects that meet the demands of the modern occupational and industrial environment.
Building on his ongoing contribution to the school's MSc programme in Occupational Health and Safety, Dr O'Donnell will also be assisting with the introduction of a new theme in Vocational Rehabilitation as well as participating with various research projects within the Institute.
Dr O'Donnell, said: "I am delighted at this appointment to Salford University. The Research Institute for the Built and Human Environment has an excellent reputation for research and teaching in the field of occupational health and safety and I look forward to the introduction of vocational Rehab as a key element of their health and safety training."
