Share prices closed lower, despite a strong start to major quarterly earnings from Infosys Technologies, dealers said.
India's second largest software firm Infosys reported a 51.5 pct jump to 4.97 bln rupees in third-quarter earnings on strong demand for outsourcing services.
The benchmark 30-share Sensex index close down 120.13 points or 1.93 pct at a six-week low of 6,102.74.
