ISE Chairman Receives Industry Award

NEW YORK, May 5, 2008 – The International Securities Exchange (ISE) announced today that its Chairman, David Krell, was awarded the Sullivan Award by the Options Industry Council (OIC) in honor of his overall contributions to the industry.

Mr. Krell has been Chairman of ISE since January 1, 2008 and is a co-founder of the Exchange. Previously, he served as ISE's President and Chief Executive Officer until December 31, 2007. Mr. Krell has over thirty years of experience in the options industry and also held positions at the New York Stock Exchange, the CBOE, and Merrill Lynch.

The award was bestowed by the OIC at the 26th annual Options Industry Conference in Las Vegas. The Sullivan Award was first presented at the Options Industry Conference in 2002 and has become a regular feature of the conference program. The award acknowledges an individual's achievement as measured by their contributions in education, innovation, product development and helping to grow the industry. It is named for Joseph W. Sullivan, who played a critical role in establishing the CBOE, the first US options exchange.

The past Sullivan Award recipients have been Joe Sullivan himself, Wayne Luthringshausen, Paul Stevens, Ivers Riley, Thomas Peterffy and Jeffrey Yass.

The OIC's mission is to educate investors about options. It comprises the seven US options exchanges, including the American Stock Exchange, Boston Options Exchange, Chicago Board Options Exchange, ISE, NYSE Arca, NASDAQ Options Market and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, and The Options Clearing Corporation.
