Officers & Management

      James O. Sampson, Vice President, Market Supervision
    
Jim Sampson is Vice President, Market Supervision, of ISE. Mr. Sampson joined ISE in 1999, and in 2001 became the first appointed officer of ISE, assuming a newly created position overseeing the exchange's surveillance and market operations functions. Prior to his appointment, he served as Director of Surveillance for ISE, where he developed the surveillance program and oversaw the creation an automated surveillance system. He represents ISE on the Inter-Market Surveillance Group (ISG), a body comprised of delegates from all U.S. securities, options and futures exchanges, as well as international exchanges, that coordinates industry efforts to ensure integrity across all markets. Prior to joining ISE in 1999, Mr. Sampson was the director of options surveillance at the Pacific Exchange (PCX) for four years, during a 10-year career in the Surveillance Department. He also served on the equity surveillance team, and previously worked on the PCX options floor. Mr. Sampson has a BS in Finance from the University of the Pacific.
